Restore Trust

Hand placing a ballot into a locked transparent ballot box, American flag in the background

As Americans, our right to vote is a sacred trust, the high cost of which was paid for by the great sacrifice of our founding fathers and by the brave men and women who followed in their footsteps as they struggled to preserve the blessings of liberty. How valuable is this right? Every vote is power placed in the hands of the American people. When this is undermined, that power is stripped from the people.

We see corruption being unearthed everywhere. Oftentimes, politics is viewed more as a team sport than something which can have an impact upon every part of the daily lives of those who live under it. There is a tendency to pretend our side is good and the other side is bad. Sadly, Arapahoe County is no exception to this, as evidenced in the This must stop! tab of this website. In the last decade, both Democrats and Republicans have abused this trust. Increasingly, eyes are being opened on all sides of the political spectrum, and it is becoming widely recognized that corruption is system wide.

The vast majority of people agree that we need transparent elections; security we can see for ourselves.

Here is a list of items that would accomplish this goal:

  • Only eligible voters can register
  • Voter rolls that are accurate and kept up to date
  • Voter Identification presented before ballots are cast
  • One day, in-person voting (mail-in exceptions made for military, sickness & travel)
  • Transparent voting system that is fully auditable with no connection to a computer or the internet

The right to choose our own leaders is too important to be entrusted to systems that allow opportunities for fraud and abuse. We must defend this right with the same determination as those who won it for us.
